Le pr\u00e9sident am\u00e9ricain r\u00e9affirme que les \u00c9tats-Unis \u00ab ont besoin \u00bb de l\u2019\u00eele, \u00e9voquant m\u00eame l\u2019option militaire, officiellement pour des raisons de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, d\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019Arctique et de ressources mini\u00e8res. Cette position inqui\u00e8te profond\u00e9ment les dirigeants europ\u00e9ens, car toute tentative am\u00e9ricaine de s\u2019approprier le Groenland, territoire autonome du Danemark, constituerait une violation grave de la souverainet\u00e9 danoise et un coup potentiellement fatal \u00e0 l\u2019Otan.<\/p>\n<p>Face \u00e0 Trump, l\u2019Europe est dans une position d\u00e9licate, d\u00e9pendante des \u00c9tats-Unis pour sa s\u00e9curit\u00e9, notamment face \u00e0 la Russie. L\u2019\u00e9ditorial plaide pour une r\u00e9ponse unie et pragmatique : solidarit\u00e9 totale avec le Danemark, mais aussi strat\u00e9gie \u00ab transactionnelle \u00bb m\u00ealant fermet\u00e9 et concessions. L\u2019UE et l\u2019Otan devraient proposer de renforcer conjointement la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 arctique, tout en avertissant clairement que toute atteinte \u00e0 la souverainet\u00e9 du Groenland entra\u00eenerait des repr\u00e9sailles \u00e9conomiques.
