Driven by the democratic spirit, the construction of intelligent, consensual, cooperative and egalitarian governments comes up against opinions that are more than reluctant to understand the world.<br \/>\nPunctuated by testimonies of great statesmen (Antonio Salazar, Pierre Messmer, Robert McNamara, Mansour Moalla), the work travels through the small and the great History of Western representative democracy.<br \/>\nHe analyzes its current crisis in the light of the divorce between peoples and elites battered by the consequences of digital globalization.<\/p>\n<p><strong>L&rsquo;auteur<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><b>Pierre Brousse\u00a0<\/b>was born in 1951, from a family of great servants of the State. In 1975 he chose the public service by joining the Commissariat de la Marine Nationale and served as a senior official within the territorial and central administration. In 1986, he joined the management committee of the Ciments Fran\u00e7ais group, where he directed activities in Southern Europe and Latin America; from 1988 he chaired the Financiera y Minera group in Madrid. In 1991, he founded the Compagnie Financi\u00e8re dell&#039;Aquila which, after investing in Europe, took part in the acquisition of the Bonna Sabla group and the creation of the Consolis group. He has headed it for 10 years and has co-chaired its supervisory board since 2017. At the same time, he was President of the Alliance Fran\u00e7aise d&#039;Espagne for ten years and President of French and European professional federations (FIB and BIBM).
